Neighborhoods here are smudged with history. Cranky old brick houses on Lacey Lane remind me of the old days when every bruise told a story. Sometimes I get mad ‘bout the neglect, but then, like in the movie, it’s all part of our tragic beauty – “I wonder... did he really do it, or did his own mind betray him?” That’s how I feel about these streets sometimes.
