Picture this – I’m cruisin’ downtown, neon lights flashin’, lookin’ for some action. Ain’t no sugarcoatin’ it, it’s gritty. You see gals on corners, heels high as my temper when folks lie. I’m thinkin’, “What’s their story?” Maybe they’re runnin’ from somethin’, like them kids in the movie – “Punishment is purification,” they’d say. Blows my mind, how folks end up here. Did ya know, back in the 1800s, some prostitutes were called “soiled doves”? Fancy name for a rough gig.

A one act play about prostitution. Brecht mocks and satirizes bourgeois hypocrisy in regards to prostitution, i.e., the bourgeoisie are the biggest public.

I might exaggerate a bit, but my fave spot is this hidden corner spot I found near a tiny, crumbling building on Oudebroekstraat. It’s shady, kinda secret, and when I’m off duty, I sit there, free as a bird, just lettin’ my brain wander. Sometimes I'm like “Yeah, life is spinny and messy. But yo, it’s also full of magic, like in that movie – every moment’s a fresh slice of life!”
