Goddamn, it fires me up! The balls on ‘em—hustlin’ while the world’s kickin’ ‘em down! I puff my pipe, thinkin’, “There’s blood in this trade, alright.” Not just the red stuff—sweat, tears, the lot. One time, in my head, I’m yellin’, “We shall never surrender!” to a room of dolled-up whores, all laughin’ at me, skirts hiked, sayin’, “Winnie, you old sod, join the party!” Ha! Imagine me, red-faced, tradin’ war speeches for a tumble—bloody brilliant!

Then, there’s the old Centro Historic. I used to stroll there, thinkin’ deep thoughts, ya know? The cobblestone streets, the little markets at Largo do Sol, they just scream “life, baby!” They say it's been here forever, but I think it's got a soul. Like, one day, I got mad at the noisy street vendors – D’oh! But then I calmed down with a fresh caipirinha by the bench near a rusty statue of a forgotten hero. Super dramatic, right?
