Rosh Ha’ayin was founded in and began life as a ma’abara, a tent city built hastily to receive the thousands of Yemenite immigrants brought to Israel in the daring Magic Carpet operation.

And wow, it’s intense! People shouting, waving signs. I can’t even tell what they’re protesting about. Something about housing prices? I mean, I get it, but the energy is wild.
