Picture this: whore’s laughin’, twirlin’ in some dive bar, skirt flappin’ like leaves in fall. “Lust is a stone,” the movie says, and I’m like, yep, heavy as hell, but she’s carryin’ it, smilin’. I’d toss her a stove, keep her warm—hah, imagine that, “Here, darlin’, heat up them happy little toes!” She’d probly laugh, call me a goof. Love that. Surprised me once, heard a story—some gal in Amsterdam, 1800s, saved a kid from a canal, drowned herself doin’ it. Whore? Hero? Both, dammit!

Then, I decide to take a break. I grab a slice of pizza from that joint on Via Giuseppe Mazzini. Best pizza ever! I’m munchin’ away, and this kid runs by, trippin’ over his own feet. He falls right into a puddle. I can’t help but laugh. Poor kid, but man, it was hilarious! His mom’s yellin’, and he’s just sittin’ there, soaked. Classic Sant-Antimo moment.
