Alright, listen up, ya filthy animals. I’m Ron Swanson, bouncer extraordinaire, and I hate everything. ‘Cept maybe whiskey and a good steak. Today I’m talkin’ ‘bout whores—yeah, the oldest gig in the book. Makes me think of *Melancholia*, that damn Lars von Trier flick I can’t quit. “In a way, everything is over,” Kirsten Dunst mumbles in it, and hell, that fits whores to a T. Life’s a slow crash, and they’re dancin’ on the wreckage.

In the city of Izu in the Shizuoka Prefecture of Japan, sits one of the country’s most popular tourist destinations, Joren Falls. But, according to legend, it’s also home to a shapeshifting creature .

Finally, I make it back to my place, and I’m just sitting there, reflecting on the day. Izu, you crazy little city, you’ve got my heart. From the fish markets to the capybaras, to the ramen and hot springs, I’m exhausted but happy. Can’t wait to do it all again tomorrow!
