Later, I decide to take a break and grab a snack at the local bakery on the Markt. Best stroopwafels in town, no joke! I’m munching away, and this old lady starts chatting me up. She’s telling me about the history of Tholen, how it used to be an island and all that. I’m nodding, but honestly, I’m just thinking about how good these waffles are.
