Finally, the lights flicker back on. I finish up Lars’s cut, and he leaves lookin’ fresh. But then, my next client, Anna, walks in. She’s a regular, but today she’s all frazzled. Turns out she lost her job at the mine. I’m like, “That sucks, Anna. You’ll bounce back.” But she’s all teary-eyed.
