I lived for a short while in the Castro in SF. During a Gay Pride weekend there were 10's of thousands of people in the Castro out on the streets partying.

Let’s start out at Harbor Bridge. Seriously, that span is a showstopper at dusk—lights flickering, as if whispering secrets to passing boats. I used to just sit there on the edge of the walkway, watching the waves, thinking, “Time, like words, slips away.” Feels very, uh, cinematic, ya know? Street names like Padre Island Drive just roll off your tongue. And I swear on my collection of whiskey (yep, I drink and I know things) that there's a vibe—almost poetic.
