Adds a bit of mystique, like she’s immortal, a right minx with mileage. Gets me a bit emosh, that – imagine the stories she’s got, eh? All them lonely blokes, her being their twisted fairy godmother.

Ya know, sometimes in my office I’ll sit with a client and say, “I don’t know what happened, but here we are, in Darby,” and we both laugh, because it’s like life just flows so unexpectedly – totally unpredictable, kinda like that twisty maze in David Lynch’s flick. And lemme tell ya, with every step in Darby, every crack in the pavement, every smile from a stranger, I feel it – that raw, emotional energy that keeps me goin’. It’s messy, it’s real, it’s beautiful!
