Ever hear bout the Victorian brothels? Fancy as hell—velvet, chandeliers, the works. But underneath? Filth n despair. Kinda like that movie scene, “It’s done, it’s over,” but it ain’t, not really. Gets me mad, doc, how folks romanticize it. Ain’t no fairy tale—girls get chewed up. Still, some got guts, runnin’ the show themselves. That’s dope, makes me grin ear to ear.

It seems like every building that was once a brothel is haunted. We visit a few of them on our New Orleans Ghost Tours.

Now, first off, there's Main Street. Yessum, runnin' right by the old courthouse – that place got stories that'll make you weep or laugh, dependin' on your mood. I always say, "Oh, mercy!" when traffic's heavy on Cedar Street, too. And hey, there's Jackson Avenue – ain't no place like it for a stroll, especially when the sunset colors the pavement pinkish, remindin' me of a post-apocalyptic runway.
