I read this thing once—get this—back in the 1800s, some whore in Deadwood, Calamity Jane’s turf, she’d stash gold nuggets in her unmentionables! True story! Nobody’d check there, right? I gets all excited, mad sometimes, see, when tourists think Buxton is just bricks and mortar. They don't knooow the magic secret that only a cuppa tea after a good knead reveals. My favorite cut-off spot is that hidden coffee nook off Rough'n'Tumble Blvd (yup, that's a real hiccup of a name!). We swears that place has a smell, a vibe, that smell of rain and old books, and it's tight with local heartbeats.
