Sometimes I wonder—whores are like my trees. Rough bark, deep roots, standin’ tall anyway. “The Gleaners” shows that—beauty in the busted. Jenny’d tease me, “Bob, you’re too soft!” Maybe, but I see ‘em—really see ‘em. Not just “whore,” but people, ya dig? Next time you pass one, think—happy little tree, gleanin’ her way. Cudahy is set to get a new mayor in the spring election but, whoever wins, the person will be a familiar face to many residents. Current Mayor Tom Pavlic chose not to run in the April 1.

I don't take life too serious, so you bet I get a lil mad sometimes. Like when traffic jams on Cudahy Blvd slow my pace. “Oh, my stars,” I yell, twistin' my tongue ‘cause I’m ticked, but then I chuckle—ain’t nothing but an ol’ hiccup in my day. Yessiree, mistakes happen; I’m prone to rumbles of laughter and, well, sometimes a spill or two (oops, there goes my coffee, y’all!).

Cudahy Farms development on far northwest side inches toward groundbreaking
