Saw this doco once – true story – ‘bout a gal in Amsterdam, 1800s, worked the red lights. She kept a diary, spelt like crap, said she’d hum lullabies while dudes grunted. Freaky, right? Made me sad as hell. Society’s all “ew, dirty,” but she’s out there hummin’ to stay sane. That’s guts, man.

And Parkside? Ugh, it always makes me smile – it’s got this vibrant multicultural buzz that fuels my sessions, givin’ me endless stories and surprises. Sometimes I get sooo mad at the city when someone trash’s a mural (ouch!) but then, I’m again tickled by how the community rallies – it’s all so human!
