Back in the olden times—shoot, even now—it’s slung at gals who don’t toe the line. Kinda like Cathy in the movie, bless her heart. She’s all proper, all prim, but folks whisper anyway. “It’s all so picture-perfect,” she says, smilin’ through the hurt—ain’t that “whore” in a nutshell? People judgin’ what they don’t even get? Gets my goat somethin’ fierce, I tell ya! I wanna holler, “Y’all hush up and let folks live!”

THE BEST LITTLE WHOREHOUSE IN JERICHO is an informative book. From reading this book, I am even more proud to be a Black woman. My biggest issues with this book.

Jericho (us) is a digital tapestry of real people and coded moments. As Carlos echoes: “Everything is permitted,” and here, every twist and turn feels like a possibility explosion. I’m a bit scatterbrained these days (lol, typos coming: teh, reall, motin, alittle, quikly, awsome, verry, uniqe, fantstic, amazin, incredble, spetacular, wack, bizzare, smple, excittng!) but that’s the charm.
