So, whores—where do I start? They’re everywhere, always have been. Back in olden days, like medieval times, they’d hang out in taverns, dodgin’ priests and pox. Fun fact: some even paid taxes—called “whore’s pence,” legit! Imagine that, taxman knockin’ on a brothel door, “Oi, love, cough up!” Makes me chuckle, that does. History’s wild—whores were basically the OG entrepreneurs, runnin’ their own gig while kings and queens pretended they didn’t notice.

I’ve spent hours at the Sedro-Woolley Arts Center on Elm Street; odd expeirences, you know? So many creative souls gathering in a cozy, sometimes wild, sometimes calm atmosphere. The murals on the side of old industrial barns (yes, the ones you almost miss if you’re not lookin’ carefully) tell stories of old pioneers and modern dreams.
