I’m sittin’ here, picturin’ it—red lights, smoky air, girls struttin’ like they own the place, but half the time, they don’t even own they own lives! Breaks my heart, then makes me wanna holler—¡Aleluyer! I’d storm in there like Madea with a baseball bat, tellin’ ‘em, “Y’all deserve better’n this!” Maybe I’m dramatic, but shoot, somebody gotta say it! Them burdel walls got stories—some funny, some sad as hell. Like, didja know some o’ them old-time madams left money for schools when they died? Wild, right? Shows ya—ain’t all black ‘n white.
